Ardmair Point located three miles north of Ullapool is a peninsula in a sheltered sea loch, with a lovely curved pebble bay and the dramatic Ben Mhor Coigach mountain ridge behind. The spectacular views looking out over the sea to the west past the Summer Isles to the Outer Hebrides, include beautiful sunsets. On one side of the peninsula is the self catering holiday accommodation including lodges, chalets and a holiday home. All are situated just above the beach and command stunning views over the sea to the mountains beyond. On the other side of the peninsula, separated from the self catering holiday accommodation, is the touring caravan and camping park with most of the pitches having spectacular views. The park has excellent facilities including a small shop and coffee shop.
Ardmair bay is partly sheltered by Isle of Martin this makes the bay a safe boating location with numerous and remote bays for exploring or anchoring in.
Is now owned by the community and has a new landing berth facility suitable for yachts and larger boats, making visiting the island easier, throughout the summer months there is a small ferry that takes visitors across to view this interesting island.
Ullapool – Is the main town in the area which is a vibrant fishing town with supermarkets (Tesco and others) good restaurants, pubs and hotels serving fresh local produce . There are craft and woollen shops, pottery, salmon smokehouse and bookshops garages etc. It is the main car ferry terminal for Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis and the Hebridies. There are a variety of boat trips available to view the picturesque Summer Isles and our nearest Island Martin.
