| Ardmair Point is three miles north of Ullapool a vibrant fishing
village with good restaurants, pubs and hotels serving fresh local produce. There are
craft and woollen shops, pottery and bookshops. You may take a boat trip to the Summer
Isles or the ferry to the Outer Hebrides.

| The peaceful location close to Ullapool provides an ideal base for
exploring the North West Highlands. The area is of geological interest and is rich in
wildlife deer, pine marten, otters, seals, eagles and porpoise can be seen. River
and loch fishing for trout and salmon can be arranged. Boat
moorings are also available for visitors with boats.
Visit the beaches of Camus Mhor where semi precious stones are found, the seal colonies on the rocky ledges at the foot of Ben Mhor Coigach, the ruins of the pictish fort and fish trap at Dun Canna. Sea birds are all around the historic Isle Martin nature reserve once owned by the R.S.P.B. with its many unusual birds which can be found nesting along its cliffs. |

Winding roads lead to the picturesque village of Achiltiebuie with its famous Hydroponicum and Smokehouse and then to Lochinver and the Highland Stoneware Pottery. |

To the south of Ullapool and Loch Broom, you will find Gairloch with its beautiful mountains and lochs, and Poolewe where the famous sub-tropical NTS gardens are situated at Inverewe. |
